I've read a lot of posts here about user experiences on AT&T using various versions of the Z30 and have been waiting for the elusive carrier version to be released.

Having tried an unlocked Verizon 9930 and Z10 with an AT&T Sim inserted, the use was very limited and poor battery.

I want to pull the trigger on a Z30 now but was hoping to get a clear idea of the best model - especially if we want to get AT&T visual Voicemail working.

Is it the 100-5?

I'd say the 100-5, yes. VVM also seems to work on it, according to one AT&T user. AFAIK, it doesn't work on the Verizon 100-3.

You won't see LTE though, most likely.

Thanks for the replies - been waiting so long that it feels AT&T will never release the 100-1 - or even BlackBerry for that matter.

I guess there's no news from any sources at this point other than what we've heard for weeks?

I'm pleased to report visual voicemail (VVM) is working fine with my STA100-3 Z30, whose new home is on the at&t LTE network. When the device was with Verizon I did not get VVM, as I think it was an extra cost. Now that my Z30 is with at&t, I have it! Could be as a result of the 10.2.1.2126 software update. I know the at&t rep who set up my "basic voicemail" earlier today told me the BlackBerry devices don't have VVM with at&t. Between you and me, he's wrong!

Had visual voice mail on my Z10 and also set up fine on my Z30 Z30STA100-5/10.2.1.2273 The AT&T rep was an maroon! ;-)

Vvm works on my Z30STA100-5/10.2.1.2141 but the att address book is another issue o_O
