    Blackberry World is truly lacking in apps. Has any one had trouble with either one of these for app selection?

    I use snap and amazon. Every now and then amazon will have an app that is older and will work where the newer version requires Google services. One example is the Red box app.

    I love snap, but it isn't a perfect fix, Google Play Service notifications are annoying and their is no way around it. That's where Amazon comes in, after apps like Twitch and Smash Hit started requiring Google Play Services like Chromecast, I was able to download the apps from Amazon and they run as I want them to. I can't wait to see the future of the Blackberry and Amazon partnership. I'm also planning on supporting their partnership by downloading from Amazon whenever applicable.

    I use Amazon App Store as it's the only third-party app that looks reasonably safe to me.

    Snap is great but I'm concerned about updating any of the apps I downloaded. Not sure if the updated version requires GPS so don't want to risk it.

    Snap is suppose to be a Google Play client, so you should be safe and the most updated version. Of course, any app requiring Google Play services will not work.

    Amazon, doesn't have the selection of apps that Google Play has, but they would be a safe source as well.

    1mobile seems a little dodgy. Not really sure where they're getting their apps from, or if they've been altered in anyway. Better safe than sorry...I'd probably stay away.

    1Mobile = all fine
    Snap = sends your google login and pass through the untrusted source plus requires sideloading, wouldn't recommend
    Amazon = lacks of lot apps present on google play
    Yandex = was unable to download it from vendor site using mobile browser

    Well, with 1Mobile you don't need to enter your google login data to start getting apks, with Snap you must do it.
    In Snap you enter the credentials right into the app instead of using 'browser auth + permit the app' which google recommends devs to use, so that adds a paranoid feeling that Snap authors may easily take your login data.
    upd: It's now possible to use app specific password, but this would require 2-factor auth enabled on your google account.

    Hmm, i have quite an opposite experience. Some apps from Amazon are old and not working. For example, check ICQ from Snap or 1Market which works vs ICQ from Amazon which doesn't login.

    Huh? If you search you'll find that there's at least one if not two ways to patch apps that require Google Services.

    If one remember how they were always trying to promote: http://androidforums.com/samsung-gal...e-spyware.html one will never use their market. I've seen it a lot of times, insensibly installed on windows machines of some of my friends.
