All of a sudden I've got an upgrade itch and I don't really care for the Passport. I currently have a Z10 and am considering upgrading to a Z30. Just wondering if it's worth switching or should I hold out for the next all touch device. Anybody have any experience with both a Z10 and a Z30? What are your thoughts?

I had a Z10 for 8 months, I loved how bright the screen is. I didn't like the speaker so much, it seamed muffled to me. When I switched to the Z30 I didn't mind that it wasn't as bright, I find it is easy to read and black is black. The speakers are so much better. I'm glad I switched. I won't switch back there are too many features I would lose. ( battery life, screen size, feel of the Z30)

When I switched from my Z10 to my Z30, I was a bit worried as it was bigger and the ppi lower.

Let's be clear :
- I enjoy the bigger screen. To be fair, when I use my fiancee Z10 I now find it ridiculously small
- the lower ppi is not an issue. I'm used to it. And the oled screen has much more advantages such as no light needed to make black (look how beautiful is bedside mode with the orange clock at night ! )

But amongst everything, it is the much, much, MUCH better battery and autonomy that makes a big difference. I realised that I was ridiculously (yes, that's the word of the day ) charging my phone all the time and potentially stressed about it not be.
I'm not stressed anymore with my Z30. I know that I can do a full day comfortably.

So yes I would switch.

This being said, I would not get the phone as a contrat with your network supplier. I would switch to a sim only without minimal period and buy the Z30 over the counter. This way, you keep your "freedom" and you have a good price for a Z30. And when there will be a Z50 (if whatever name they will came up with) later in 2015, you can have a new contract if you want. (but if you stay with your contact without renewal, then you will loose monthly money).

Went from the 10 to the 30. I liked the 10 in my hand, but the 30s battery life is night and day.

Just like the Storm 2 was much better than the Storm and the Torch9850 was so much better than the Storm 2 and the Z10 was way way way better than the Torch9850 and the Z30 is much muc better than the Z10. Every phone BlackBerry makes is a great improvement over the last in my opinion.

Love the big screen and more room to type on the bigger keyboard. Tougher to type with one hand, heavier too.Still use my Z10 a lot, but prefer the Z30 far. I just upgraded my Z10 to 10.3 and I still love my Z10 too. Not sure what will happen with it once I get a Passport. But sometimes a smaller, cheaper phone is useful. Or when watching video and I want to communicate with someone I use my Z10, although this is how I intend to use the Z30/Passport combo.

I had the Z10 and then got the Z30. The Z30 is better than the Z10 in every way to me. The bigger screen makes it easier for me to type. The speakers are unbelievably good. The battery life makes you wonder if something is wrong with the Z10.

I keep my Z30 in an Otter Box Commuter case, but whenever I take it out, I'm really struck by how beautiful the phone is. It's got a layered look,with the black glass screen, the silver middle plate, and the carbon fiber weave back (I have the black one). It all goes together so nicely, and shows that Apple isn't the only one who can make a really nice piece of hardware.

One other thing to consider is that there isn't a full touch screen device on the horizon, excluding the Z3 LTE which to me is a downgrade to the Z30, even though it is newer. It's going to be Passport and Classic for a while to come, so you might as well get a real upgrade to your Z10 with the Z30.

Made the Switch 3 month the ago, went back to Z10 for a few days and missed Z30 so much. Bigger screen, all round better performance and best of all don't have to charge the battery during the day. Go for it.

I've had the Z30 for 3 days now, coming from the Z10 and I couldn't be happier. The battery life is unbelievable. Right now I've had it off the charger for 22hr and I've still got 20% left. Mind you I slept for 6 hrs but still it's a beast. The extra screen real estate is great too.
I figure on a full day of work on this thing I'll get 14 hrs at least easy.

Upgraded yesterday after deliberating for a few months. No regrets. Can't wait to reap the benefits of better battery life and loving the bigger screen (which I worried would be too dim but turns out is just fine for my eyes)

I switched and have no regrets. Note: I had Z10 for 16 months and it is flawless. I love Z30 and should not have hesitated to switch earlier.

Hold out for the Z10 successor, get another for backup or a Passport to hold you over. The Z30 users on CrackBerry are the fanboys of the BB10 device world. They'd be perfectly happy with it being the last device BlackBerry ever made.

Have I had mine two weeks yet? IDK but I love the Z30 and its worth the switch. If you want Passport laster the BB will always have a high resale value. Dont be cheap. Get the Z30!
