I see there's a new update to 10.3.3.xxxx for the Z30. I'm on 10.3.2.2530 on my Verizon Z30. It says I have the latest software.

When I try checking I get:

"Unable to connect to the update server. Please check your network connection settings or try again later."

My Z30 is only on wifi. My Priv is connected to the Verizon network. Am I going to have to reconnect the Z30 to Verizon to get any update? I would have thought that wifi would be sufficient????

Or maybe I don't need the update???? I only use the Z30 to feed Blend to my various computers.

I'm not sure if it would be tied to Verizon - I have a Z30 that has no cell service on it and is just connected to wifi as well. Late last week an update to 10.3.3 appeared on its own. An old Telus SIM card is still in the device, so maybe that's how it was delivered.

My understanding of the update is that it's primarily security enhancements. If it's working for you for Blend with no issues, I personally wouldn't worry.

And now you've made me remember that I miss Blend.

Update: I checked a number of times and it would still give that Connection Error. Last night when I checked, there was the update. I needed to free up space but it finally succeeded.

If you happy with your phones performance there us no need to update.... One of my favourite BB10 apps ( Stereo Tube) no longer runs as it did before updating to 10.3...

I wouldn't touch 10.3.3 with a 10-foot pole. Too many reported issues and no apparent new features or functionalities. All risk, no reward.
