I just got a new / refurbished Z30 to replace my 1.5 year old one that went wonky (screen). It might be my imagination but the screen on the new one seems sharper and brighter.

Also, a side note, it came installed with the latest (almost) software. No update needed.

I don't play with the brightness settings and got a Z30 this year. I must have got a good one too cause while the z10 and q5 have nice screens, in most indoors, my z30 makes them look like they're in power savings mode.

No blurring in text or jagged edginess around the icons like I've seen in videos either. It's actually bright as #### and I don't have much trouble seeing it in sun either. Bout the same as q5 or curve which I found to be the tougher to see in daylight.

I've had my Z30 since October of 2014 and the screen is as crisp and clear now as the first day I got it.

The Z10 screen being brighter is over rated. The moment you have it turned up to max, all the colors get washed out. The only option I would like to see come in an OS release, is the ability to adjust the screen brightness on the Z30 further. The amoled display can go brighter so why limit it.

I personally don't have an issue but it sure would shut some people up who always complain that the screen isn't bright enough.

    Look! It's Zedzilla30!

You can tweak both brightness and white balance which might result in the contrast between units.

I've already played with the settings. It definitely seems sharper. I was using my Z10 as a backup while waiting for my replacement Z30, and initially I liked that screen better, but this Z30 is richer in colour. Must be the OLED vs LCD.
