I notice most of my Android apps have access to location permissions (GPS) but I can't turn the switch off per app. Is there another way to modify this setting? I'm thinking that's a main reason why my Z30's battery isn't so great due to the GPS being active.

I don't want to turn GPS off altogether, I just want to have it on selectively (e.g., maps or other applicable apps. Certainly not needed for Kindle, Music, etc.).

    Thanks in advance.

I believe that there is no granularity in app permissions in Android apps. It's either you grant access or you don't.

You could check to see if the Android app has an option to turn it off within the app settings. Other than that there is nothing else you can do

In Android 4.2.2, there is no way of disabling android app permissions. But that will change when OS 10.3 is introduced. OS 10.3 will be shipped with android 4.3 which has a hidden app permission manager known as App Ops. Some of us that are already running the leaked 10.3.0.296 or the SDK 10.3.0.442 have been able to disable android app permissions. Visit my thread for more details (AppOps) The Hidden Android Apps Permission Manager In Android 4.3, Found On OS 10.3
