We cannot edit a typed number on the dialpad, am I missing something?

I had to delete the all the digits since I didn't see any cursor.

I do believe this to be correct. I've copy and paste there before and could not input a 1 so I didn't have to listen to " the number you are dialing is long distance bla bla bla"
Ya something so simple I would think.

No issue there, working as designed. Just not very usable.

Damn, this is quite basic and should be implemented in any minor update.

@ guys with leaked 10.3 - Do you see this feature now?

    Seriously?
you cant look at what you are copying to realize there wasnt a "1" first.
dial the '1' then paste the number in....

although i am on Verizon and do not need to dial the '1' if calling anywhere in the US, not sure if your problem is country specific

Tried that. Doesn't work. Still just the number is pasted.

What if you mistyped a number and want to edit it, apparently deleting all the digits and Re entering them isn't a solution.

I haven't seen a phone that allows you to edit, via a cursor, a number you're dialing on the dial pad.

I don't mind the inability to insert a number in between but I do mind the inability to type a word with keyboard to dial them.
Like 1800SOMECOMPANY. It's not too hard to look at the letters but I really miss being able to type the letters and let it dial for me...

Does voice assistant let you speak in the number? Accurate? What about editing or delete & retry?

I just tried it on 10.3.0.1052 and I realised how silly that they didn't think to implement that yet.. I'm sure it will take like 1 minute to implement.. on visual studio for windows apps it was just the change of a simple property in the textbox that when checked will allow the normal text functions to run on the box ( cursor, selection)

One basic feature which Blackberry still missed with its touch device is that while you're in dial pad and you dial a number which is not in your contact list and if you want to add any number before or in between the keyed number you can't place the cursor anywhere. Please fix in the next leak.

Simple and rarely used but priority is high.
