    Default A-Series - So close...

    A-Series - So close...-first_run.pngA-Series - So close...-splash.png

Taken from a 10.2 dump, obviously.. It has images for the A-Series as well as the place holder for where the 'first run' video would be and no, that's not the device..again, just a place holder. I'm guessing it'll be in a later 10.2 build at some point assuming they don't scrub all the A-Series references out of the OS. So close though.. I would have liked to of have seen it.

Soooo....it's just a bigger Z10? Or, the Z10 was just the place holder? I'm guessing the latter is true

Having seen and played with an Aristo device, it's pretty awesome and dead sexy. Might want to replace my red Z10 with it.

Does it look anything like the z10? Or is it less industrial and much more stylish?

5.5 inches I'm guessing for screen size.

What is the ultimate BlackBerry? The ultimate BlackBerry would be a device with the screen size of the Z10 along with the physical keyboard of the Q10 and the battery life of the Z30. This, would be the ultimate BlackBerry. Why they haven't built it yet remains one of the greatest mystery of BlackBerry.

Not trying to burst any bubbles but I know someone who knows someone who works at BlackBerry and I was told there is NO phone that is going to be called the A10 that is going to be released THIS year.

On the brighter side, there are other devices that will be released later in the year.

Not surprised. Z10 is referred to as L series; but is not known to us as L10 is it now?

No I'd say Aristo is more like the codename; A10 is just something someone made up because of Aristo + BB10 = A10 lol

"A10" and "A-Series" are internal code names for the next all-touch BlackBerry 10 device, just like the "L-Series", "London", and "Laguna" were the code names for the Z10.

The A10 will most probably be known as something else when it releases.

Cool.....but still not a replacement for the 7" tablet. A10 maybe functional but I could not image creating documents like I do with my Playbook.

Actually, A10 is probably nothing to do with BB right now as they are unlikely to use a potential model name as a codename, it is just the name people on places like this have applied based on the leaks referring to a-series, aristo etc. despite the evidence we have so far that it is unlikely for the codenames to align with the final product name.

Given that we have had mentions of both aristo and astro so far, there are almost certainly a bunch more names that start with a that comprise the form factor they currently call a-series.

It seems they are following a S-(TypeOfDevice)-(Series Intitial)

    STL ( s-touch-london/laguna/lisbon)
    SQN ( s- qwerty-nashville/nevada/naples)
SQR ( s-qwerty -rainer/(dont know the other Rseries Code names))
Then it seems STA will be the code for (s-Touch-Aristo/astro)

Now the real question is what does the S indicate? ( smartphone)?
