After the recent upgrade to .2102, every time I take a picture with the camera, the file doesn't show up anymore in picture library.

I can see the picture put in the "camera" directory on the sd card and I can tap on it and it is displayed then, however I don't get a preview in file manager, only the flower placeholder nor it is shown in the library.

Already formatted the card and tried again but it doesn't work. If I let it save the files on the phone itself, everything seems to be okay, the picture then shows up.

What's wrong here? any suggestions?

This is strange. How about this: could you possibly copy the card contents to your PC and then format the card IN the phone again? And then copy everything back? I would try that first before giving up on the card and buying a new one.

already did that but it didn't change anything at all.

I can see the files and open them via file manager but there are no previews being generated, no pictures shown in pictures app.

Maybe your card is toast.

it works perfectly when using a card reader. I don't think it's toast at all.

Wiping and restoring the device now... hope that helps... I'll go nuts if it was for nothing

I had the same problem after the wipe. Reboot without the media card, then insert the card after the reboot. Worked fine for me, worth the try.

Did the wipe and installed via Sachesi.

Now everything works again. This is strange. Hopefully I don't have to do this after every update there is because it's quite an annoying.

I have the same issue, not just the pictures in picture app but also the music is missing from music apps as well.
It is obviously reading problem because camera can save the pictures to the SD fine when I take a picture, but box.net is not able to upload the pictures and I also cannot see

I am using the latest leak, 10.2.1.2102 / 10.2.1.2141 which I upgraded using Sachesi on top of 1925 that was loaded using autoloader.
I did not have an SD card in place when I used .1925 release, so I cannot comment if it was working with earlier version or not.
This is extremely annoying and I sure don't want to wipe and restore everything from scratch just to fix this minor issue with major annoyance.

I had the same issue, taking pictures (after a recent OS upgrade) these pictures are not shown in the Media > Pictures folders, you can find the pictures by accessing the file manager, however the pictures are not displayed there only show as place holders (as per original post).
To resolve this I did as people suggested .. turn off the BB Z30, remove the SD card, turn on the BB Z30, turn off the BB Z30, re-insert the SD card, turn the BB Z30 back on ... my pictures were back and available in the previews ... awesome ..
For reference my OS version is 10.2.1.2941 ...

I had that problem on my q10.... put it down to some hardware fault on the sd card.

Upgraded to z30 now with a new sd card and no probs....touch wood!
