Hey everybody

I updated my Z30 today and now whenever I insert my SD card it attempts to download a device driver and then fails.

It happens over and over. No matter what I do it keeps displaying an error when it attempts to download the driver.

If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it.

The SD card worked fine before. I even put it into my computer and formatted it again and it work fine on the Pc.

I think I found the issue.

I had to put the SD card into my PC and manually force it from exFAT to FAT32.

Think this is an issue on 10.2.1.3175.
Was no problem on the previous build I had.

If anyone has the same problem, put the SD card into another phone to format it, or type this in Command Prompt:

format /fs:fat32 D:

(replace D: with whatever the SD card volume is on your PC).

It may take a while so quickest way is putting the card into a smartphone to format

I had the same issue before with a 64 gig sd card and my Q10... Never really figured it out, but I did solve the issue by sticking the card into my friends berry and having him format it, from there on in, it worked fine..

Not a great way to solve the prob, but maybe it'll work for you too..

Was the SD in the device when you did the update? Are all your files still on the card?

No it wasn't in the phone.
I put it in my Z30 and went to format it and that's when all the issues appeared.

It's weird, I had no issues with the official 10.2.1.2141 but when I wiped the phone and flashed 10.2.1.3175, that's when the issue started.

It's either that or something else I'm not aware of.
Something to do with file system bug in the latest build or simply just an issue downloading the device drivers from blackberry servers..

I have a gut feeling it's a problem with the 10.2.1.3175 build.

Later today im going to wipe the phone again and flash the official OS back on it and see if that has the issue as well

Well for anyone interested, and for future help for anyone with this issue, I wiped and flashed the official 2141 build and everything works correctly as far as formatting SD cards.

Must be a driver missing in the leaked 3175 build. Back to factory original for me. Ill just wait for official updates to release in the future.

I learned early on not to do leaks. Perhaps when I get a new daily driver. Good to hear everything is back to normal.

This very same thing is happening to me now on Z30STA100-5/10.2.1.3175. My 64gb card was unrecognized so I had to reformat it to fat32 on my laptop and transfer my backed up files back to the card. Not even two days later, my phone can't read the SD card again although when I insert the card into my laptop, it still sees everything.
