    Hey all, I've been away from the BB scene for some time. My wife just got a Z30 to replace her Bold. She had some custom ringtones set for specific contacts on the Bold that I moved over to the Z and set for the same contacts. I am not sure what is wrong, as they are not working. When I go to the notifications settings, it shows the contacts have custom tones for text messages, but when those people text her, it is the default tone. Any help?

    What OS is she running? I put the latest leak on my Z30 from here http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...-links-990410/ and I had to reset my customized ringtones. The settings showed that they were there, but removing the customization and setting it again made it stick.

    Ok, disregard. I moved the ringtones from the media card to the device storage and reset the ringtones for the contacts and now it works.

    It is the most current os but it is a work phone and it's locked up tight, only authorized changes.

    Ok, so every text comes thru with the custom tone for text messages. If it is a contact that she has a custom tone for, every text after that uses the custom tone for that contact. Why not the initial? This thing is driving me nuts.

    Good to know that the ring tones have to be on the device for the tones to work...

    Only in this case since it's a work phone. IT policy probably doesn't allow SD cards or something. I have mine on an SD and they work fine.
