Is it possible to replace just the camera in a Z30?

Mine has a black dot that appears in every image (and not due to any scratches on the lense or glass cover).

I'd rather attempt to replace it myself than go through the trouble of a warranty process. (I got the phone through shopblackberry.com / Digital River, and I don't have the mental strength to go through a nightmare warranty process with them, get the usual digital river runaround, pack and ship the phone, wait months to get it back, etc... etc...)

If it's too difficult to replace myself, does anyone know any place in Toronto that might do this kind of repair?

I believe folks have replaced the camera and that the part is not too expensive. You can search for threads or someone will probably post a reply about the process.

it's very simple... you undo about 10 screws... lift the screen from the body... and the camera is its own piece that can be easily lifted out... drop the new one in... redo the screws...

He would be able to tell if its a dead pixel because it would appear all the time on the screen regardless of what app he is running.

Theres a place behind Rogers Center called Tech Know Space that do that kind of work.
Probably going to cost around two hundred bucks though.
