I bought a black z30 and got a guy to gold plate the silver parts of the phone (the chin and the sides)... then I got him to replace the glassweave back with a red back and a golden logo... the red back has the same carbon fibre look.

Has anyone else got their z30 done over by someone or am I the only red z30 owner?

I would love to see a pic of that phone. I have seen red Z30's and wondered where people got them. I also have a black Z30 which I LOVE compared to other phones that my family has (galaxy, iPhone).

Also gotta laugh at where he says he got a guy to "gold plate the silver part". All of that "silver" on the Z30 is plastic and paint. Good luck "gold plating" that.

My original Z30 silver on mine was wearing out ,so i got fine fine grit sand paper (black kind) and sanded it down to black. And bought the white back. I think it looks cool. I posted pictures before but can't seem to find them. I'll have to check my computer.

I did the same. I made it all Black. Looked quite nice! Just wish the Z30 has a better quality screen.

My z30 was recently stolen so I didn't get a chance to take pictures... I am sorry but I wasn't lying. You can choose to not believe me if u like. A part of the thread was a lie... I didn't have some customiser guy do it for me... look at a youtube video called what's on my BlackBerry Passport by itsmejc inspired by the video I got a red carbon fibre from a shop and some mettalic gold vinyl from a shop... then I spent hours cutting it to precision and used a blow dryer to make sure when I stuck it it would stick properly. Itsmejc does something similar to his passport... he gets sticky vinyl and cuts it to perfection. So end of story... there was no gold plating... just mettalic gold vinyl and carbon fibre red vinyl that I stuck on my z30. You won't believe it until you have a look at that youtube video so I suggest you watch it.
