Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me how the battery life is on the Z30 with Bluetooth, Wifi and NFC on?

My Z10 last about 7 hours, with a 3 headless apps running, plus one active frame (waiting for them to go headless). Minimal use, some CB10, and various news apps opening and closing, a few calls and texts, a little FB. No games being played. I have wifi on so I don't go over data, bluetooth to connect to pebble watch, and nfc for ease of opening apps, its also turns off wifi, but it turns back on based on my location.

Would Z30 be about the same? I know it's a bigger battery, and the screen is supposed to help conserve, but is it a big enough difference to consider upgrading?

Also thinking of waiting for a slider, but not sure that is even going to happen, opinions anyone?

The q10 battery lasts longer than the z10

From the z10 to the z30 you are going from a phone with terrible battery life, to one of the best smartphone battery lives.

So yeah, there will be a huge difference.

You think it would last around 15 hours? I could live with that, charging overnight only, my routine now is wake up off charger, 3 hours after charge again, go to work, hope it lasts all shift, get home and charge again, kind of a royal pain.

If you used a Z30 like you use your Z10, I reckon that by the end of the day you would have about 50% of your battery left.

Wow, i didn't know that the battery life was that good, great to hear that, now I'm super tempted to upgrade, was holding off on z30 waiting to see what comes out of BlackBerry, now not sure what to do.

How much do you have left after that? After about 10 hours of heavy usage, my battery is down to around 10%. Heavy usage as in BBM all day, no web surfing or streaming of anything. Just heavy messaging. No wifi or blue tooth. Just LTE only.

Amazing. I have all the same on as you. I'm not a power user BT ant means, but I get 2 days regularly. One say I went to work and had about 35%. Got home and still had about 12%.

Having this kind if battery life is one thing less to worry about.

I leave everything on with screen brightness about 75%, regularly get over 24 hours

Hey guys, on standby, myZ30 uses -.16w showing on Battery guru. Battery drains 1% on standby. I have to charge my battery every night. Interesting thing is, first hour after rebooting it, it only consumes -.04w. It goes back to 0.16w after an hour or so. I tried on wife or lte, not much different. My PlayBook only uses -07w during standby.
I wonder what do you guys get.

The Z30 battery drain on standby is about 0.75%-1% per hour. It has been like this since the release of 10.2.1.1925 OS. Nothing worked for me to resolve it. I just accepted it as-is.

Thanks for your msg. I wish it could be fixed in next update. It should be doing better than PlayBook. Amazed me is that everybody seems extremely happy with the battery life. I wonder if I have got a lemon. Now I know I am at least not the only one.

Do you know how many wattage your phone consumes on standby? My phone uses -0.15-0.18W on standby. It eats 1% battery per hour on standby, which is worse than my playbook, -0.07W. My son's Z10 only uses -0.03W on standby. I don't know if there is a solution for it. I tried those free battery booster app to see if it helps. Tried one last night. My Z30 shows -0.05W on standby this morning. I shall report back if it stays this way in the next few days.

I get twenty hours basically every day. I don't always have wifi on, but NFC yes. I change my bluetooth profile throughout the day, but what I do that is usually a battery killer that you didn't mention is hotspot. I do that every day, fairly often, and I still get 20 hours or more.

My z30 goes from 95-30% within 12 hours with not that much use since I'm at work, but I've got 6 push accounts but it doesn't affect my battery's standby usage which settles to -0.1
