    I currently use the BlackBerry Leather belt holster, where the Z30 goes in with the screen facing inward.

    I'm considering getting the leather pocket case. Does the device still fit in, what I consider to be, backwards, i.e. screen facing the long side of the case.

    No, it actually faces the other way, screen "out". This is apparently so that you can see the LED.

    If you're thinking of putting it in backwards regardless, I just tried it and it's fairly difficult.

    I know. Same goes trying to place it the wrong way in the belt holster.

    It isn't a supposed to go that way, but it does fit in my experience yes.

    My Z30 case is very tight to my phone. when I bought it I had to use two hands to get it out of the belt holster. I thought this was a Verizon issue, guess not!

    I've been using the belt holster for 5 months now and it's still quite a tight fit.

    Took a while to get used to putting it in the holster with the screen facing inward but I guess it dose give more protection that way round.
