Does BlackBerry support PPTP VPN? I use can a lot on android and iPhone but it looks like in z30 I don't see the PPTP option under VPN..

Is this not supported by RIM?

They don't support a lot of vpn options which are quite widely used. They REALLY need to get on this. For a business friendly company this is a fail.

I got VPN service from Witopia and works fantastic on my Z10 and Z30. You could check out https://www.witopia.com/support/sett...lackberry-z10/ for setting it up

In my opinion, it is better to stick with VPN which is not PPTP as the security and back door risks are higher and it sends passwords as clear texts and can be unreliable as well where as IPSEC is more secure due to various encryption it uses. Using PPTP basically can leave your data vulnerable to any basic hacking software and without you knowing it. This might explain why BlackBerry chose not to support PPTP

Currently PPTP isn't supported. It should be coming through a future update."

I'm afraid, Z10 doesn't support common VPN protocols like PPTP, L2TP and OpenVPN however there's still a chance that you can connect by Microsoft IKEV2 protocols.
There are many tutorial on the internet that help you set it up on your device like the following one :

    Hope it could help.

PPTP isn't supported for now, even on the 10.3 SDK.

I'd recommend Witopia or Purevpn. Both work perfectly on BB10 devices. They even have tutorials on how to set it up on BB10 devices.

I believe that I got to test Witopia before purchase, but honestly can't totally recall. If you are not sure, you can have a live chat with one of their support personnel on their website https://www.witopia.net/ I got it like almost 9 months now beginning with Z10 and now with Z30 and I'm extremely happy with their super service!

The companies IT personnel would be best to ask that question to.

    Has anyone tried SurfEasy?

They are certificate based, but only support Automatic configuration and support could not give me the manual settings required.

Certificates I can get from the iPhone.

Not Netflix myself, just like to encrypt traffic over public wifi.

With a Free VPN allowance of 1.25GB per month, definitely nothing heavy
