Please share the outcome after you Updated your Z30.

    Options:
    Model Number STA 100-1/2/3/4/5/6?
Update: OTA? / or / Sachesi? / or / BB Link? from 10.2.X to 10.3.1.1581 (OS 2267) and having the major issues? / or / not having any of those issues?
Update: OTA? / or / Sachesi? / or / BB Link ? from 10.3.X to 10.3.1.1581 (OS 2267) and having the major issues? / or / not having any of those issues?
Used Autoloader and installed 10.3.1.1581, OS Ver. 2267 (Completely clean) and having the major issues? / or / not having any of those issues?

    Edit 2:
10.3.1 Update just released Update 10.3.1.1767 (OS: 10.3.1.2558 Radio: 10.3.1.2559)

Please load this update to see if it resolves the issues and please post back.

    Edit:
    Here is the list:
    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...update-998926/

There are at least 5 (if not more) other "Issues after 10.3.1 update" with hundreds of posts, in every thread there are almost equal amount of users with problems as there are those without problems.
Users accusing each other of lying when they report no issues. There are people with "No issues whatsoever, non of the stuff listed" others start assuming that person is some kind of BB spy doing damage control or just plain lying. Terribly inconsistent reports.

I do believe there is a differentiating factor, either in hardware or software or the way updates are installed.
Not being able to answer the phone call for 2 seconds after sliding is a major issue. Having very low notifications or screen not waking up after battery drain is a major issue.

Blackberry pulled 10.3.1.1581 update back (or carriers did after getting too many phone calls from angry users), and I don't think they would do that if there wasn't enough people with problems, then again I don't think BB would have released this update if they did not test enough devices, there was no pressure on BB to release this software after all.

Only bug I'm having is the sound cutting out when adjusting volume and that the volume adjustment from 0 to midway doesn't make much difference and then it doesn't get very loud, no other problems however.

Oh and the battery life actually improved.

    Software release: 10.3.1.1565
    OS Version: 10.3.1.2243

    Why Blackberry? Because I can!

I have an sta 100-5 direct from BlackBerry and I did an ota update about 4 days after the initial release. Only issue I noticed was when I answer a call the vibrate keeps vibrating and it takes a second for the caller to hear me.

Other than that, just the regular bugs that weren't fixed from 10.2 (candid account messed up, and BlackBerry link not working at 100%)

STA-2, OTA Update to 10.3.1.1565 after a security wipe in 10.2.1. Restored, contacts, calenders and remember only.

Issues: 1. Phone vibrates extra while receiving and lag of 1-2 sec.
    2. Weired rotation bug, in month view, change from portrait to landscape and back again. The year changes subsequently.
    3. Call end button needs 2-3 tapping.
    4. Issue with BB menus(with icons only) not showing anywhere, the entire menu pops out. Not a bug though. Could have been missed.
    5. Not to forget the black screen bug when the battery drains out. Had not let the battery die though.

The only issues I have are.

    1. When answering calls there is a delay before my phone stops ringing.

    2. When browsing photos or listening to music I sometimes get an error something like media gallery unavailable and I have to close and reopen the app to get it working again.

    - segnale wi-fi piu debole confronto alla versione 10.2.1 e spesso si sconnette;
    - una attesa di qualche secondo prima di rispondere ad una chiamata e prima che l'interlocutore possa ascoltare la mia voce;
    - prima di effettuare una chiamata passano NUMEROSI SECONDI prima che sul display appia in numero chiamato e che inizia a squillare..ripeto NUMEROSI SECONDI....cosa che prima con la versione 10.2.1 era immediata la chiamata

STA-5, Telus Canada. Updated from 10.3.11?? Via Sachesi. 10.3.11?? Was a clean wipe.

    1) sometimes I must swipe multiple times to get the screen to wake.

    2) must always tap on the call end button 2-3 times to get call to disconnect.

    3) volume low on notifications (wasn't that way before the update)

STA100-5 was updated from 10.2.1 to 10.3.1.1581 on Rogers in Canada. Update went smooth. The only thing I have noticed is sometimes there is a delay in waking the screen. Overall, the OS seems smoother than before, but I don't think I am getting the same battery life, but I do think I am using my phone more than before.

Z-30 STA-2, Coming from 10.2.2.1609 (official Germany T-Mobile), did the OTA update to 10.3.1.2243.

It all has been wonderful, what a great update apart from the calendar. But after exactly 7 days:

Update destroyed my phone (stressed the Battery), when the battery was below 85%, it shut down and then was stuck in a boot up loop. Shut down, boot up, after getting the carriers signal it shut down again and then the same thing again. Over and over.

Got a replacement, with 10.3.1.2243 already on and it's really good apart from the EasyJet app just won't work anymore.
But battery life is unbelievably amazing.
After 12 hours it still shows 60%+.
Carrier signal does not drop as much as before. Notification volume louder than on 10.2.2.

Z30, STA100-5 running 1.3.1.1581 on Rogers Ontario. No problems from official upgrade through LINK. All Apps and functions are working well. I am watching my batter to ensure it does not hit below 10%, but I rarely go below 30 on a busy day.

The only issue I am having is the1-2 second lag when answering a call.
Everything else is working well. My battery drained and started up fine when on the charger.
I haven't seen any other issues that have been mentioned in any of the threads since the OS has been released.

STA100-5 Bought new from Ebay... Ran autoloader OS 10.3.1.2267 w/radio 10.3.1.2268 the unit worked fine for one day and started draining the battery and getting hot fairly quickly so I powered the unit off to do a full battery charge and the black screen problem occurred on reboot after full recharge. Sent back to Ebay seller for refund and purchased a new Z30 from DRiver for the 225 sale and did the same procedure and all seems ok now. Obviously a little concerned that the Black Screen problem could creep up with this OS but have been keeping the unit fully charged and on at all times. Hopefully the "fix" release will be coming out soon... Other than that the phone has been working flawlessly... Thanks

STA 100-2, unlocked. Installed 10.3.1 OTA on 19 th Feb and used it for 10 days and then reverted back to 10.2.
    Issues on 10.3.1:
    1. Hot spot was not working.
    2. Wifi direct not working.
    3. Wifi signal very low.
    4. Mute calender notifications.

Other than above it was flawless.

Updated OTA after security wipe as well. Used Backup Pro for all the major stuff.

1: Calendar changes date when going from portrait to landscape - Calendar opens on random dates - not the actual day.
2: When opening phone...the numeric keypad does not always show immediately - have to tap on text box to get it to appear.

And as per usual, when backing up contacts and restoring..I lose lots of information that was manually inputted. This is a major PITA.. and something that BBry needs to fix.

Oh yea...I do like the ability to minimize battery power by the various ways this OS allows. Battery life has increased significantly.

    Other than that...I like it.

I handle about 60+ Z30s in my hospital. So far, only one has had an issue with the OTA update. It has the blank screen issue. The user refused to listen to my instructions (i.e. never let the phone die...ever). Now he's having problems. Otherwise, the rest are perfectly fine.

I've kept quiet on reporting my feedback because I haven't had any negative issues.

I went from Rogers official 10.2.1 to 10.3.1 via Link (As I do with any update). I've been running 10.3.1 since it first got pushed.

First update failed but I did not catch the message. A quick view through the phones storage showed the phone was too full. Purged a few games and re-did the update. Success.

The only minor things that have happened is the phone randomly shut off one afternoon. I've had some control issues with the music app 3 separate times when using it over Bluetooth on my vehicle (cant change songs, must restart music app). Finally, whenever I try to download Boom Beach via SNAP, the app (as in SNAP) crashes. Not sure if this is a app specific issue or one with the new beta of SNAP. I was able to download on 10.2.1 but never run the app.

Otherwise, I haven't had any other issues. Update has been solid. I find a new feature every day.

    4. My work email keeps getting disconnected from BES but my personal email work fine.

STA-5 Upped over link. Initially could not connect to 5Ghz network. Wipe and reload and so far this is working well

Same bizarre issue with the calendar and portrait / landscape date instability.

Notifications are too short in the calendar reminders: the ring tone I chose just cuts off after a few notes - and that bugs me.

I'm relatively pleased with the updated OS so far.

    Bring back random taglines!

STA-5 Z30 here. Updated to .2267 OTA on the Sasktel network (wifi). No issues, phone is faster and battery a little better. Haven't tested every function, so far all is great. I won't get into the personal preference debate.
Some apps no longer function, but that's a dev issue.
    Cheers
