I am a firm believer in at&t Band 4 (1700) LTE coverage. Switching carriers from Verizon to at&t and arming my unlocked STA100-3 Z30 with a new LTE-compatible SIM card from the at&t retail store here did the trick. FWIW, the rep told me my enhanced SIM card had an Isis Mobile Wallet. Not really sure that was relevant to my LTE coverage (noticing faster speeds with VZW LTE versus at&t LTE). Now I am getting at&t LTE coverage throughout Chicagoland with my Verizon Z30. Great fortune indeed!

Thanks for the feedback, rallour. While I have a friend who works at an at&t retail store, I might see if I can get her to specify my Z30 as a Z10 in their system, though the actual IMEI will state differently. I would have already done this online, but I paused when the website asked for my device's IMEI. Looking forward to finding out the results of your test with the 4S' SIM card on your Z30. Keep in mind as I write this I am in downtown Chicago, where there could be at&t LTE for my -3 Z30.
