I recently bought a brand new Z30 and it came shipped with 10.3.1. I never had this version before on my other Blackberries because they came with newer releases.

What I noticed about 10.3.1 is there are more "dark themes" around the OS.. such as the phone dial, contacts, settings page, remember, file manager, calendar (stock), etc.. I'm a dark theme user so it looks very clean and better than 10.3.2 whiteness.

My question is.. once in awhile my Z30 tries to get me to update the OS and prompts me, but I keep denying it. Is there a way to disable the prompts?

The dark theme has got nothing to do with the OS. Its there for the Z30 and Q10 because they use Amoled displays. So they have the black theme across menus and dial pad. You can also enable the same in contacts, calendar, BBM, WhatsApp. It will stay the same way on 10.3.2 as well. Which devices have you used previously?

Wait so you're saying if I update the OS those dark themes will stay because of the Z30s amoled display? Can anyone confirm this? If true I will update because the prompt gets annoying.

I've used Passport and Classic which both have LED displays as you know.

Z30 and q10s are amoled displays, others r IPS displays, so dark theme is there in z30

Yeah, dark theme is based on screen tech, not OS.

Q10 and Z30 should have dark Settings and whatnot because they're AMOLED, the rest have LCD screens and thus light versions.
