I have and love my z10 But the battery is killing me...i have doubts moving for the z30 because of the size.
I have an average hand size, can someone tell me if its easy to handle the z30 only with One hand?

Most likely you'll need to two hands to type on it. It really is a great device though. I switched from the Z30 for the same reason you are thinking about switching. I couldn't deal with the horrible battery life of the Z10 any longer and I'm so glad I did it.

You get used to it. It's well worth the battery life, and the swiping up words on the keyboard is great thanks to the extra screen size! I find I'm quickest at typing using both index fingers with the phone in landscape on a desk, it's like a mini computer keyboard then!

I am amazed the we, the BB user, have so much fun with just 3 major devices right now! I mean look at Samsung with its many devices. So compliment to Blackberry! You invest in one device which gives you so much!

To ask you question. Only the apps which are on the left corner are hard to get with your thumb. So I hold it with two hands. But for 80% of the time, I use it with one hand.

Average sized hand and one handed typing no problems. Love this phone it is well worth the upgrade trust me you won't be disappointed.

What is with ppl going on about how unwieldy the z30 is. I have smallish hands and I type one handed pretty much exclusively with it... it's not that much bigger then the z10.. one of the articles way back when it first came out said how it was only 15% bigger then the z10 but had 33% more screen space. And everyone thinks it's so large because the screen is big but it's just more efficient use of space

Also on battery life OP if I'm using it heavy I get 10 hours ie lots of Youtube and browsing. off one charge... if lighter use I've gotten up to 18ish or so

You have to try for yourself. I have average size hands and the first time when I tried typing on a Z30 one handed, it was pretty tough. A week later I went back again and tried it, it was better. Now I still feel it is not as good as Z10, but I can handle it with reduced speed, or go both hands.

If I need to type quite a bit, I naturally go two hands. If it's a little bit, I just make it do with one hand no problem.

I played with it in the store and it is not bad at all. I am pretty sure, if I were to get one that one handed will not be a problem. I have small hands too. As it is, I am happy with my Z10. Can't justify paying more $ for the upgrade, since I am with T-Mobile. We just added another Z10 into our home :-) and have battery bundles.

I don't think u will regret purchasing one. Just try it at Verizon.

I find the z30 not much harder to type on than a 10... and I have small/average mitts for a man. but my preferred 2 thumb portrait is awesome on a 30!!
