So I have text messaging on a dark background. But why is there no way for me to put anything ELSE on a dark background? I want the hub, emails, alerts, EVERYTHING on a dark background! Waaaaaaah! It seems so clunky that the only thing you can change is text.

Hey Mike. First let me assure you that most apps can have dark backgrounds including bbm, whatsapp, cb10, etc.

In bbm, drag downwards from the top bezel, and hit settings. Look under the general bar. You will find a drop down box for choosing the colour theme.

For whatsapp, same thing but you have its under advanced settings.

Hope this helps.

Note that I'm using 10.2.1, although I'm pretty sure that it's somewhat the same in previous versions.

OK, but i don't use any of those. Not even BBM. Why can't everything have dark backgrounds, including hub? I can understand maybe non-native apps, but email? Hub? BB can change those. It should have been the obvious thing to do. Otherwise you're bouncing around between white and black backgrounds which is not only aesthetically un-pleasing, it's downright jarring. Especially in dimly lit areas.
