Looking again for advice from the group..... This is only my first day with the Z30 and I am very pleased with it...
The only problem I have , is with notifications........ I am coming off an iphone ... I could be listening to music with the ear phones on and whenever I get a phone call, email or text, I do get a notification that I have received something, the music stops and I get a "bong"
I am not getting this with the Z30.......I get nothing in my ear phones when I get a call, text or email...Is this normal ?

Settings - notifications - notify during calls

I think if you have your phone notification on silent it wont beep if your listening to music.

From Hub or home screens, swipe down from top screen to show Quick Settings menu. Tap the word Notifications. When screen opens, scroll down towards bottom and Notify During Calls to On.

Yes I have it set to on...... Is this possible on the Z30? If someone can confirm that this works on the Z30, I could go from there...

From Hub or home screens, swipe down from top screen to show Quick Settings menu. Tap the word Notifications. When screen opens, scroll down towards bottom and Notify During Calls to On.

When I do this, I see a checkmark in a box with a blue stroke across the bell...and when i tap on the notification, the checkmark goes away and it goes white......

Tap the text "notifications " to open the notification settings

Notify during calls enabled a "beepbeepbeepbeep" while you're on a phone call.

Just tested for myself. Played some music and sent a SMS to myself. Notification sound played over the music, no volume dropping.

no this is not right, you tapped on the wrong icon.

ok, let's go back to the basic. from the home screen, just find the settings icon, then you go to "notifications". then you'll see this screen.

From the home screen, swipe from the top of the screen down:




Tap "Notifications", select the text rather than the icon:



Change the option highlighted in the below screenshot.
