Yes again!

I'm just loving the freaking Z30 and its battery! I know I posted about it once before but I'm so bedazzled by it that I cannot say it enough! This phone has a crazy crazy battery which lasts forever it seems since I bought it from BlackBerry Dubai Store last month and I have no complaints at all. I don't have another phone and I do use it a lot on daily basis. Here's today's usage or since last charge this morning and it's still going....



Don't hate me for the post, hate Z30 and it freaking battery

To be honest the way people have been shouting about the great battery life on the Z30 I was expecting more than this. My Z10 battery life on average is not far from this also, but glad you are happy with it.

My Z10 would've died at least once if not twice during the same duration and as a result I had to charge it as soon as I got home, in the car and at work sometimes.

Believe me, you will see an amazing difference in battery life and since you are already getting 12 hours out of your Z10, then a reckon you could go for at least 18 hours with a Z30.

After over 14 hours of continuous "Z30 on and never left my hand" use, it was about to die:



What other phone would last this long?! Certainly not an iPhone and not a Samsung Galaxy nor would a Z10, at least not my Z10.

Until now (touching wood , no issues whatsoever as if this beautiful Z30 is the ultimate phone especially considering the powerful battery. However, I can tell you this that should a battery problem arise then I have the 2-year warranty on it and can exchange it for another. Also, what's the life of a phone, really? 1 year, maximum 2 years, for me, and am bound to get the new gadget with better specs like BlackBerry Windermere with capacitive keyboard and even more powerful battery than Z30 or the Z30 S as I'm loving the the virtual keyboard and screen size

Yeah ur right about a year with these new phone now a days I have a z10 but I also have a bold 9700 that I have been using for about 4 years and it runs like new

It depends how much an heavy user you are: normally Z30 goes from 2,5% (minimal use) per hour to 8% (continous use).

This means that you can go from 12 to 40 hours of standby. That's quite awesome for a device with 5' display.

I hope you are right cause I'm pretty envious of the other guys getting more than 30 hours of their Z30 batteries, but I do have NFC, Bluetooth, location and other services and apps on in background and in cascades like CB10 but still this Z30 battery is out of this world!

I can't believe how many of you guys are getting better mileage in terms of battery life than me and I thought 14 - 18 hours with a single charge is the norm and beyond fantastic! I'm blown by your batteries' lives. I mean 2 days, 3 days and heavy use full day is like UFO stuff, you sure your Z30 wasn't abducted while you guys were dozing off? Lol

Sure, I guess it can last days if you are not using it. The battery remain time varies depending on usage. But if it don't drain, then hey, good for you!

Yea, that's the amazing thing, I use the device quite a bit. I won't say I'm a heavy user, but more a moderate user, Phone calls, texts, web browsing and emailing. But instantly after I finish using it, it goes in the pocket pouch.
A few things I have found that help quite a bit is turning down the screen brightness to 0 and the changing the email sync on the accounts to at least half an hour rather than 5 min. Despite setting the sync to a longer period the email comes in at the exact same time as my desktop which is on a 1 min sync.

I hammer my Z30 quite a bit, but average 12-14 hours. I did have a bit of down time not so long ago, and decreased my usage to something more minimal, and got 23 hours once and was down to 1%. I personally can't envisage 3-4 days ever happening this end tho'.

Then I can say I'm a heavy user but even then Z30 lasts wonderfully with me 12+ hours which is all I need from a phone right now and unlike iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy which are easily down to 1% after 2-3 hours if not plugged in...
