    Hi,

The carrier in my country just launched their LTE service. After I upgraded my sim card I've been waiting for the promised LTE sign on the top right hand screen of my Z30. It's been a week but still no LTE. I've checked the carrier and they say the LTE is active. All the setting is correct and I've chosen 4G and 3G as my preferred connection. People I know got LTE easily but for me the highest is H+. Has this happened to anyone else and how do you fix it. Btw I've tried restarting the phone as suggested by the carrier but still no luck! Appreciate any suggestions you may have!

What modal Z30 do you have and what carrier?
See for Z30 models, sorted by radio band and frequency:

If your carrier is using a band/frequency that your model Z30 doesn't support, you wont get that network.

Thanks for the help! Just found out my model is STA 5. I'm guessing this is the reason why I'm not getting it which sucked. My carrier is working on 900 frequency while according to the table I do 850. Just wondering whether BlackBerry send different models based on the region? Does anyone know? I had gotten mine during the Christmas sale in the USA and is now using it in Asia so that might be it.

You need either the STA-2 or STA-6. I imagine one of those is what carriers are selling in your country, if they are using the 900 band for LTE.

I also bought an unlocked z30 and I'm not real happy about not being able to receive LTE
Blackberry seems to want to sell there phones on there own and not through a phone carrier. But if they are not going to have the correct operating bands in there phones that's not good.

As AT&T never offered a Z30, none made by BlackBerry are 100% compatible, unlike your Q10.
In the early days of the Z30, a rumor popped up that the AT&T variant would be model STA100-1, however that model has never been seen.
Of all the Z30 models, only the STA100-5 is the closest for AT&T LTE coverage, however as you have found out, it's not working out well for you.

Who is at fault here, AT&T or BlackBerry, we can't say.
Could a true global Z30 be made, again we can't say.

Depending on the bands they are there. It is up to the consumer to know what bands they need. Can't really blame BlackBerry for consumers not knowing what they need.

i also have the 100-5 which im using cricket / AT&T and on a recent trip to morgantown, wva. i did notice the LTE was showing and shining bright and it was nice to know its there, but while im in my home area i have never noticed the LTE showing, so i guess its just what area you are in for the LTE to be showing but my z30 is still fast and i love my phone very much, i still have my z10 and bold 9700 as a backup just incase something happens to my z30.
