Hi, I am new to Blackberry, taking the leap from Windows phone to a Blackberry Z30. I purchased directly from Blackberry Store in the UK. I had purchased some movies from Blackberry World prior to the movie store closing, these were purchased on a Z10 I was trialling.

I've attempted to reinstall onto my new Z30, but download keeps failing, with a message, there was an error in your request. I've approached customer care via twitter. But they are next to hopeless. I had some other small issues, I find t annoying despite buying directly from Blackberry, there appears to be no customer support number. Its all email or twitter. Can anyone shed some light please

Just had a response via twitter regarding my movies from blackberry world. They say due to copyright issues they can only be installed on the original device purchased on which imo is BS.

And this is the reason why I don't purchase movies or music from online sources for a particular platform.

Can anyone help the OP? I think we need to start by determining who supplies BlackBerry with the downloadable movies.

Isnt that the same company for the music as well? . 7digital? If drm is bound to the bbid he should be fine as it is, if they were purchased using a different bbid then he will need to wipe and setup using that bbid.

Either way he will need to install the 7digital app to retreive his media purchases.

Are you using the same BlackBerry ID? My girlfriend went from a Z10 to a Z30 just a couple of weeks ago and was able to re-download all her purchased films with no issues.

I changed from a Z10 to a Z30 and was able to transfer movies. Have to use the same bbid. IIRC though, I was prompted to re-download the licenses.

Sign in with the same ID, or just DL the movie on your 10 and nfc it to the 30

They fed you a load of crap. When you purchase movies from BlackBerry World, there's a disclaimer that tells you how long you can re-download the purchase (from 6 months to 5 years from what I've seen), and onto how many devices (typically up to 5).

If you've hit either limit, you won't be able to download. Sometimes, there are issues with downloading, and it should clear up in a couple of days.
