It's not like I don't know how to format my BlackBerry but I want to do it correctly. As I have stated my battery life is not good after Verizon's 10.3 update.

My question is simple......when I clean sweep what should I restore from my BlackBerry Link and should I update my OS to 10.3 before I restore anything and if I do a restore what should I leave out so it won't make my phone suk.

I want my phone back the way it was three weeks ago with 10.2.3. It was perfect with a battery that was so awesome I didn't have to plug in at 6pm and no pause lag when answering phones. People don't even hear my first hello anymore.

    1) I moved all videos and pics to my memory card. Should I remove the card before cs and restore?
    2) should I delete any and all apps I don't need before I back up and clean sweep?
3)should I not restore certain things? I would like to have my emails and address book. Need the address book.

Thanks to anyone who can give me the right instructions. If anyone has a link please post so I can read up

    Thanks

You should just try a security wipe first, and just restore contacts and set the phone up like new, if that doesn't work try reloading your OS then set up like new. Restores can cause a lot of problems.

    Quick question

Should I do my clean sweep right from BlackBerry Link or do it from with inside the phone? Is clean sweep and restoring to factory defaults the same thing?

Security wipe should be sufficient. Try it first.

Thanks for the advise. I knew most of it just wanted to be sure. Security wipe took me a total of less than an hour and the conclusion...... I feel like I have a new phone. Everything is back to normal. When I hit the phone app it pops up, when I answer the phone I don't have to say "hello" twice cause phones lagging for the first.

If your running 10.3 with verizon and do t feel you phone is as snappy before update then security wipe and feel you phone back to normal in less than an hour.

Loving 10.3 and loving my BlackBerry again.

When you say clean sweep, you mean security wipe?
Do I take out my SD card first? What should I do before wiping?

    #1: Yes.
#2: To be on the safe side, go ahead and take the SD card out.
#3: Do a full back of your device via Link.

    Oops yes
I didn't remove my memory card and I backed up my contacts to the card just in case. As far as I know it doesn't affect the SD card

So to get this in correct order, you went under security settings, wiped the phone, did a back up of your contacts etc and then reloaded the os using BB link? What order did you do this in? I too have done this before but want to make sure I am doing the steps in the correct order

    Thank you
