    What OS do you have?
    Have you gone to settings/notifications/chosen a profile/ custom app notifications and changed the ringtone for sms?

    I have the latest update. Before the update it would play the whole dam song if I didn't stop it now it's like 2-3 seconds.

    I have exactly same issue with Calendar alerts. Because it was playing for few minutes or until I stopped it. Now it's playing the same song for only 2-3 seconds.

    Me too on the calendar alerts. I've got a couple of contacts with songs chosen as the notification --the calendar alerts I'd really be happy to have back to the way they were, which was to complete the chosen tone or song.

    Same problem but with my email alert. Not really a biggy but bloody annoying.

    It's being fixed in the next OS release. There was a change put in that broke this, but you'll be able to play up to two minutes of ringtone again soon...
