I may be able to answer part of your question.

In the Hub, tap the lower right Menu (3 vertical dots). Select Settings. Select Display and Actions. You might have to scroll down a line or two. It is after "Delete Message Confirmation" There's a drop-down menu. You can select Prompt (what you want to do), Hub Only or Hub and Server.
