Very excited about this device but I can't seem to remove the android bar when using the android runtime? Was under the impression this would be possible in the final 10.2 OS as I have a runtime on my Z and Q which allows it's removal. Does the stock runtime allow this? Cheers!

Have you try swipe down from the top of android apps? If you on 1521 I think you cant hide the bar

Oh will be less troublesome to install a separate android runtime. Is this the latest one we have separated from an OS?

    Thanks!

If you install 1767 os it comes with android runtime without permanent bar
Or you can just sideload the android runtime to your current os

Unless someone has extracted the 10.2.0.125 runtime from 1761/1767, then yes, that is the latest separate runtime.

Cool! Who knows, if I make some extra money, I may buy one just to have it in case the Q ever goes down. Its so much nicer than the Android comparisons. The only problem or issue I see is that once you are used to typing on physcial key boards like the Q/Torch/9900, it's very hard to type on any virtual keyboard--BB or others. I have a Kindle Fire HD with a big virtual keyboard and even with that it is so hard for me to get through even a post on here. With the Q, I just hammer them out. Honestly 200 emails and messages a day is no issue. But, that said, the Z10/30 both have that unbelievable touch virtual keyboard with the "flicking" of words, so the two of them make more sense than the Q10 and the Kindle-LOL.
Loving the Q10 and have installed just about every OS that is worth a darn! Running .1776 now and it is amazing. Also, once you get use to running the Android apps you side load, its hard to go back to some of the common native BB apps. Hard to explain but you will see.Hope you are doing well buddy!
