And I can still get 10-12 hours out of my battery.

I'm talking 8+ apps open, music playing, screen on the majority of the time, constant BBMing whatsapping emailing facebooking twittering and surfing on reddit / imgur.

I'm sure if I only used mixed usage, I could get 25 hours+

The System process eats up 51% of my battery however. Dunno if that's normal but maybe they'll improve that drain eventually

Glad to hear that the Z30 batery rocks But I couldn't help myself but wonder - how did you manage to get more than 8 apps running at the same time, I thought BlackBerry 10 kills the less used apps after you open more than 8. Or did you mean, that you usually use more than 8 different apps through the day?

Did you just update your OS? Sometimes it takes awhile for it to settle down. Regardless, you both should get way better battery life after it settles.

If it doesn't go away after a few days, back up your phone on link and maybe try downloading one of the OS leaks.

I have posted this before in another thread but it's relevant to this post...

If anyone has a fast battery drain...because of a high running cpu...

A hard reset/restart solved the problem for me...
Press volume up and down at the same time till it resets!

I spent ages going through a checking/deleting side loads and native apps for permissions etc after I noticed the cpu usage was around 50% with no real joy until hard reset...see pic attached and note before/after cpu spike!

After the reset cpu / system running around 5-20% depending on what I'm doing...

So today took it off charge at 6am...I streamed music to my Bose Sound link mini blue tooth speaker (amazing) today from 8am to 5pm...couple of phone calls 40mins or so, but of bbm...ing and crackberry.comming...
BOOM 40% left at 9pm ...amazing! freaking love this phone!
