If Facebook app worked the Z30 would be the perfect device for me. BB10 otherwise is perfect for my needs!

I could suggest you to add the Facebook mobile site shortcut to your home page instead.

    > go to Facebook on the BB Browser
    > hit the 3 dot menu
    >tap Add to Home screen. (Rename the link the way you want it)
    >You now have link to a full working Facebook, looking and feel like any other app.

( You should keep the original Facebook apps active to your device if you want to keep your contact, calendar, notification)

This is exactly what I do. Facebook app goes in an unused folder and the website link on the homepage. App is just used for notifications at this point. And messenger through the hub.

Though it's a shame there is no native app that is decent. Unacceptable for a company that's stating that communication is priority

You can also try the Android version 29.0.0.23.13. It works pretty good, and gives hub notifications. The Android Messenger version 25.0.0.17.14 works with it as well.

    Secure communication, not social communication.

    Big difference.

Secure communication holds them back from making a good Facebook app? Don't think so...

No. Them abandoning BlackBerry 10 for android I what has kept them from developing a good app. The problem is that they are only maintaining the OS for security. Any social media and communication. Is going to be up to 3rd party developers.

A lot of BlackBerry owners use Facebook for business. They would be wise to update.

Yup, I use FB for business, only for business. A nice overhaul to make the app usable would be much welcomed.

As of right now that app is useless. Total garbage.
