Comedynetwork.ca website and no videos play on my z30. When I switch the browser to desktop mode the message says adobe flash is required. Mobile version black screen. Why won't flash videos play on BB10?

Flash version is older. Doesn't seem like we can update it. This happened too with Space.ca and CTV.

I hope we get an update.

Won't happen, Adobe killed off Flash for mobile some years ago. 11.1 is it.

I don't think this is on BlackBerry to fix. Mobile Flash is finished as a technology. Most sites offer alternatives for Android and iOS automatically. They just need to add BB10 devices to the list of devices which are served alternative mobile friendly formats.

Have you tried this particular site on an Android or iPhone?

What's that got to do with anything? Adobe is the culprit for not updating mobile platforms of Flash, not BlackBerry, they neither developed the web sites in question nor did they develop flash for mobile devices. Have some common sense!! Geez.

If it works, then that's good news. It means they do have a non-Flash alternative working, and all they need to do is (1) provide you instructions on how to access that from your BB10 and/or (2) automatically redirect BB10 devices to that alternative.

Should be a very easy fix for the website.

Try turning off Adobe flash and disable desktop mode. It may support the x264 codec. Run it in mobile without flash and I bet it works... this is the same thing like YouTube... Regarding YouTube Google supports x264 better than flash

Tried it. Didn't work. Same result as with flash turned on. This site doesn't seem to have a mobile version, at least not one that supports bb10.

A couple of thoughts; Did you try setting your browser to Desktop Mode? and Have you got the 10.2.1 operating system loaded on your device? Are you connected to a good WiFi?

Generally BB10 does not need to fall back on having an app, you can use the website direct and save the hassle of downloading a special app for it. Some websites are not smartphone friendly, but thats their lookout.
