There are two ways to update Verizon Z30 to 10.2.1
    A) If you just bought your Z30 and did not set up anything or willing to lose all your settings, you can use autoloader method. Which does not require anything special. It will wipe your phone.
    B) If you have been using your Z30 and do not want to lose your settings/apps/etc. you can use Sachesi to upgrade. It will NOT wipe your phone.

    A) Destructive / Fresh Install
You can download the version compatible with your device here:
    http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...7/#post9751661
You need this file: Z30 10.2.1.1925/1899 radio
And you need to have Blackberry Link installed on your computer and previously paired to your device to make sure connection is possible.
Once you install and set up Link, close it. It needs to be closed when you run the updates/upgrades. Download Link here if you don't have it. BlackBerry Link - BlackBerry 10 Smartphone to Computer Sync - US

    B) Non-Destructive / Upgrade
Download Sachesi's latest version here Sachesi: Firmware Extractor, Searcher and Installer » Qtness Development (at the time of this post, 1.1.2 for both Windows and Mac)
No install required, it is an executable file.
Remove your SIM card, plug in USB and turn on your phone.
    Use following:
Country 302 / Carrier 640 / Device STA100-5 / Upgrade / Production (If you don't see Upgrade/Production you can click on circle on top right corner)
How To: Ways to Update / Upgrade Verizon Z30 to 10.2.1-a14528fffba0a0383167bd0574a76682.png
    Click Search
    You will get this screen:

    Click Download All

Once download finishes the files you need will be in the same folder/directory as Sachesi-1.1.2.exe under /10.2.1.537
Check the folder, it should have 155 or more files.
Go to Install and click folder, choose the folder and apply. Sit back and relax. It will take about 30 minutes, it will first copy files to your phone then it will reboot, it will be slow to reboot and may take longer. Once done you will have latest version.

    Footnotes:
There are posts about Radio Files, it is up to you, the most stable radio is the one that comes with the latest leak. If you feel adventurous, you can get the latest radio links and load those on your BB10. Above methods include 1899 Radio. It works fine on both Z30 and Z10.

Same methods apply to Z10, Q10 and Q5, you just need to change the model/carrier/country to the carrier that released the latest version and download.
Do not install the leak that's intended for another model unless instructed otherwise, like above in case of STA100-3 works with STA100-5 Leak

"Destructive" means, as a side effect of auto-loader, it wipes your settings, contacts, and files, so you have to use a backup to restore those.
    It performs a fresh install.

The second method, in a basic way, replaces the system files, over writing each with the newer version, but retains all your settings, contacts, and files.
    It performs an upgrade.

Thanks for the How to, very helpful. However, I was unable to select the folder and click apply, I found it easiest to locate the folder and drop it to Sachesi.

Is there a better of the two? I'm getting my Z30 on Tuesday and it won't have any of my info in it. Is one of the options better than the other?

Better is personal preference, they both load the same thing, one wipes the device and does a perfectly clean install the other one just upgrades so you don't lose your settings.
If you are concerned, Sachesi method will retain your stuff that came with your carrier (not much, Verizon only adds VZW Search as bloatware).

Start immediately with the autoloader since your device is straight off the shelf... very easy, one step... no fiddling with Sachesi.
