How many z10s were they currently selling a month. Take that number add 50%. Of course you'd have to factor in the fact z10 sales will drop to the point well I think they'll just stop making z10s as z30 competes mostly with the other BlackBerry devices. In the end though it's hartd to see how z30 sales will ever total more than any other os10 device. I would think q5 would be the best seller but hey what do I know?

Depends on how they price it. There is really nothing wrong with the Z10 in terms of hardware. (Really, when you compare it against the majority of phones, it holds its own). The problem in my opinion was it was overpriced and poorly marketed.

If they repeat their mistake (and they probably will since the Q10 and Q5 are both overpriced by about $100-$200 CDN) then that will affect sales.

If they price it aggressively, I think it could sell well but with all the negative news about BB right now, it will be cause additional hesitation on prospective buyers. Not sure what they can do about that except price it even more aggressively to offset peoples concerns by spending less?

But maybe with 10.2 and greater Android app support, if people can get pretty much any app they want, that can offset the hesitation since you have less to lose going with a BB.

I know I still want one but I know I'll be holding back if it is overpriced (and wait to get one for cheaper). That isn't something BB can afford right now. Take a page from Nokia if they have to and sell them cheap or at a loss even and make the revenue back in other ways.

I think the Z30 will sell less well than the Z10. The Z10 had the marketing effort behind it, the buzz of the new BB10 OS, and lots of pent up demand. Z30 has none of this.

If BlackBerry knows the trend going on with the company. They will be smart to not make a **** load of inventory and end up writing them off. I think it would be much safer to produce a small amount of inventory and have a backlog if the demand is high.

Yes its true the Z10 had the initial hype so first month sales for Z30 won't be as good, however 10.0 was a bit to buggy and sales nosedived so total sales? Well that depends, Z30 sales will surely impact Z10 sales now. If things go really bad Z30 will have a very short production run and sell in tiny numbers but if things level out or even pick up Z30 may have 2 years steady sales to top Z10 sales.

BB10 phone sales already hitting a new low, when the last quarter announced they can sell 2.7 million BB10 phone with only Z10 that have a full quarter sales .

this quarter they only sell 3.5 million Blackberry phone, most of them BB legacy device so it is less than 1.75million BB10 phone sales while they already launch 3 phones.

so expect Z30 will sell less than before, because while maybe BB10 on Z10 launch quite buggy , but right now Blackberry having a massive beating from Media, Developers, Casual users.

But seriously, i wish BlackBerry could drum up the kinda hype for the Z30 that they did for BBM... 1.1 million before release.. that would be awesome pre order numbers

People would love BB10 /10.2 if we could get it in their hands and get some app support, but unfortunately I dont see that happening at this point.
