Try using BBM voice call. The sound quality will be even better.

Tried that between two Z30s but it kept cutting out. Switched to a regular phone call.

It seemed like there was a slight delay, and it was cancelling something out. Made the call damn near impossible.

I could be wrong but I believe HD voice would just be a codec the phone uses that's why it would need to be implemented at carrier level it wouldn't be an option. If both parties support the codec it's used if not then they used the codec both support

Doesn't Passport SE support HD voice? I don't see the HD icon while talking to wife. I used to have it on my other BB10 devices, e.g. Q10, Z30, and Classic.

Passport SE does support HD Voice. I finally saw the little HD icon on my device when calling someone on Koodo network yesterday; however, it doesn't work on Rogers any more.
