    I bought this phone used on kijiji, was supposed to be unlocked but turns out it is indeed locked and I don't know which carrier it's locked to.

    To buy an unlock code, I'm being asked for the carrier it's currently locked to.

    If you pull down from top, go to setting, go to about , tap on general, check network does it tell anything there? Might have to look at model number to see what version it is. Or look up IMEID number.
    Hope you get a better answer.
    Never mind going to setting will not tell you anything unless there is a sim card installed.
