I enabled encryption on my Z30 over 24hr ago. I can slide between apps and I can see a list of emails but I cannot launch any app or open any email. I cannot access "Settings" to see any status? Anyone know how I can determine if the encryption process is still running or if the phone is toast?

I don't know how long the process might run. So how long since you started it? Only Internal memory files or even an sd card (and if so, how large)?

I guess you can give it a few more hours and then abandon ship and reboot???

Thanks for the reply! I did a complete software restore to factory default. I expected the media card to be locked out since it was factory default restore but surprisingly it was fully accessible. Perhaps the encryption did not get past the Device Encryption before it became unresponsive but it appears that the media card was not encrypted.

There is an option to encrypt just the phone, or media card or both. Did you turn on the encryption for both the phone and SD card?
