as always, appreciate you input here folks:

    following the instructions...
    - have added the extension for Chrome
    - attempt to go to 169.254.0.1 and get the message "your connection is not private"
    - I go to advanced: get the message that server couldn't prove it is 169.254.0.1 - and I proceed to 169.254.0.1 (unsafe) and get just the 404 unfound

tried different usb as suggested and turning off firewall. Nada.

    Any thoughts?

You can use Sachesi to install snap as well.

Step 1 is to ensure your phone is recognized by windows before doing any of the Snap install stuff.

When you plug your phone into your pc via USB, does the pc show folders for the memory card and device memory in the phone?

If not, then nothing you do with Snap or the Chrome extension will work.

    Snap

    http://redlightoflove.com/snap/

    Fallow Bla1ze's instructions here.

    http://m.crackberry.com/how-use-snap...roid-apk-files

    Hope that helps.

If I remember correctly there was a part where it said something about it not being safe but you could click on something to continue on etc.
Anyway if you follow Bla1ze's instructions you should be fine.

Can't help you with the other way of installing it as I didn't do it that way. Jaydee gave you a link above... the links I gave you above are the way I did it and worked for me.

    Take care.

    FREAKING A! It worked perfectly.

Thanks Denise...that did it (I think it was changing the usb to windows from autoconnect as I could never get it to work the other ways)

Thank you all for your help.

Crackberry forum folks are a big reason I'm back with BB after a month of hell with crap Samsung. You guys and gals are great!
