I may have messed up during installation of the leaked 2141 update (used this file from Mega: STA100-X.10.2.1.2141x2142.exe.7z) onto my Z30!! I went through downloading the zip file, extracting the install file, switching off the Z30, then running the Unzipped file on my windows pc, till this was showing:"Connecting to Bootrom". At this stage I connected my switched - off Z30 to the PC via USB and a green light appeared on the Z30. I guesss I waited too long to switch on my Z30, as I was watching the PC screen for some kind of prompt? When I tried to switch on the Z30, may be after half a minute later after connecting it by USB to the PC, it did not come on, instead a red light keeps on blinking. I need some urgent help please. Should I disconnect the Z30 from the PC and attempt to reload, or should I wait? I have tried switching on after 10 minutes and nothing changes, the Red light still blinking. Thank you.

Hi there... I believe something wrong with the connection (maybe)
However this is what I will do:
1. turn off the BB10
2. Kill the exe files
3. Make sure BBLink is also not running.
4. Run the exe files again make sure you are running the right files
5. When it say "Connecting bootrom" turn on the BB10 or Press the on/off button untuk BB10 reboot and go to green.
6. It should then load the boot into the device.

Put your phone in air plain mode plug into your pc make sure BlackBerry Link is not running. Then start the autoloader.

No the led has to be green.
Start the autoloader and hold the power button until it starts.

Turn on the phone put it in airplanemode, turn off BBLink, connect phone to computer, run exe, make a lovely cup of tea. Phone will restart on its own, go through set up wifi, accounts etc. go to BB World reinstall your apps. Bobs your uncle.

I have the same issue. I've installed every leak with no issues, till this one. Once the autoloader has completed it closes and the phone sits there blinking red. My solution was to run link and restore to the previous version. I've tried a few times with the same result. Not sure what's up.

Same thing for me. You can use Link and do a restore.

"Software update encountered an error" This is after waiting for over 30 mins, update was at about 70% 80%, I forget. have started, now at 43%. starting to regret why I risked with the leak. I am using === Just got the same error again!!

You are using the original USB cords that came with your device? Could a Antivirus program be stalling the install?

Both links are the same OS and gave the same result for me, I can install ANY leak I have but not this one. As I said before, the leak installs, the installer closes and the phone flashes red, 2 then 4 then 3 flashes. It can sit there all day doing this. The only solution for me is to use Link and restore the previous version.

Just to give a belated update, I managed to resurrect the device, reloaded it and then used Sachesi to install the 2141. So far so good, all is well.
