    I've had my Blackberry z30 for about a week and a half, and everything worked fine at first. But I think it was after I did an update to 10.2.1.2141 (leaked version) is when I noticed that the camera would work. Sometimes I'll open the camera and an error message will pop up saying "Camera cannot be started" and it would minimize. Other times its takes about 30 seconds to load and the screen is just black, and when I switch to the front facing camera, I can see an image, but the entire screen keeps flashing green.
    I've done a factory reset, tried to update to the new OS again, then did another factory reset and am running on 10.2.1.1925 now.

    Is there any chance anyone knows how to solve this issue? I remember seeing a sideloaded file that should solve some camera issues on an older leaked OS version.

    This cleared the errors for me that you were having. I went into pictures and hit "More" and then "Start Camera" After doing this once the camera operated normally. This was several leaks ago though.

    Tried it, still doesn't work. If it helps, when I try to turn on the flash, an error pops up saying "Flash mode change failed"

    I would save a backup. Then wipe the phone. Then see if camera works. Don't restore from a backup though.

    I tried everything. I don't think its a software issue. About 4 or 5 wipes and trying all types of different fixes. Luckily the store I bought it from has a 30 day exchange policy, because the rogers policy is only 14 days, and today is the 15th....I don't want a refurb. Thanks for the help though!

    I am having the same issues. It's not a phone problem. It's a software problem. I was able to fix it by syncing with my laptop, but since I did the new update a couple weeks ago, I can't now. It tells me hardware issue and insufficient permissions. I super irritated because I am also having contacts issues whereby it is putting some contacts in with other contacts and not showing my entries (even though when I try to reenter them it asks if I want to update existing name). ugggggg
