Like many of you, I have really been disappointed in the options around finding a slim and protective case for my Z30. For the last half dozen, or so, BlackBerry smartphones and Playbook that I have owned - I have always gotten an Incipio Featherlight case for those devices.

Unfortunately, Incipio felt the Z30 to be unworthy of any cases.

But here's the good news.... if you like a Featherlight case by Incipio - I found one on Amazon that has the same outstanding feel and fit at about a third the price.....

I just received my Celicious "Slender Case for BlackBerry Z30 - Black".... cost about $8.00 - $9.00....

If you don't mind spending a bit, and you don't have a Verizon Z30 (because no Z30 cases really fit the Verizon body), try the Tuff Luv case.

Do you know how it compares to the transform case for the Z30? I find the transform is pretty slippery and the benefits of it as a stand are negligible since I rarely have the phone propped up anywhere. Thanks in advance!

Byrd....difficult to say, but I am assuring the case you are talking about is the crappy shiny plastic that is either too slippery or too sticky in your pocket.

This Celicious case is a hard case for protection, but has a really nice feel to the case that isn't slippery but has a comfortable feel....frankly, it almost feels like the same texture that is already on the battery door of the Z30.

Hope this helps...it feels, exactly, like an Incipio Featherlight case that I have had in a number of devices and have always liked the feel.

UPDATE: Multiple people are complaining that they cannot hear me well with the Celicious case on the Z30.

I suspect that one of the many speakers that makes up the Natural Sound system on the Z30 are being blocked...

No longer recommend this case. Back to the drawing board.

Damien....looks good but I agree with you that any case in the Z30 makes the device feel "bulky" due to its 5 inch Super Amoled screen.

I use the Yousave wallet case. Bulky, but I can forego the wallet with it. Also, your bb will be just fine if dropped. You could chuck it off a rooftop with no damage.

Plus it doesn't offer frontal protection. I love my blackberry like I love my women. However, they both just can't be naked all the time... for obvious protection reasons.

Transformer is about the best out there unfortunately. I'm a huge incipio fan but was very disappointed when they didn't release a case (hard shell) for the z30

I chose this case not only because it's useful for cards/cash, but especially because it protects the face of my BB. I don't really find it bulky, just a tad cumbersome when I have to hold it up to my ear on a call. Of course, it's easy to remedy that with my headset but I've hardly used my headset since I got my Z30, and before with my Torch, the earbuds were practically stuck in my ear.

The Yousave case is very sturdy and keeps your phone locked down. To a fault, lol. I dread having to go into the back of my phone because it is tough once you've gotten it on, to get it off. I've never been a fan of holsters so this case is really great for me. I don't know, do men use this type of case, or is it considered more suitable for women because of the style? I recommend it either way.

It helps that the front cover can flip around to the back. I've seen men with wallet cases on other phones. A guy I met had one on his iPhone. Accidentally backed his truck over it with no damage.

Exactly. The base of the phone is larger so even the OEM flip case by BlackBerry won't fit.
But you can charge the phone wirelessly

I am a big fan of these cases so far:

they dont add too much bulk but are made of TPU Silicon which i find protects it enough for most falls but allows it to fit in some of the holsters available (not the OEM). Shipping, even though from China, has been quick. If you go to capdase.com they offer other colors. Contact the ebay seller and they will try to get you the color you want (took about 10 days) then they will contact you with a link to purchase the case.
