Using the Otterbox Commuter case on my Z30. I also use a Seidio holster to carry it. Otterbox adds a little bulk but I love the protection.

I was wondering about this and I am considering it, I was wondering if you have one? I don't like the Flip style case as i tend to want to use my other hand to open it, But i see the top flip case which made me think of swinging the top open like a note book, I would love to get rid of my wallet but I was wondering which on did you get or wanted to get?BTW i have the OEM Flip case, and I despise it because it didn't protect the edges, hence my Z30 is all types of busted... But i do like this as it would cover those edges up nicely. PM me or what not.

Seidio S5 Dilex holster. No magnet included but I have seen someone else on here say they added one and it supposedly works fine. Haven't tried to do it myself.

I had to do some slight modification on the holster to make the commuter fit properly. I took a heat gun on low setting to the tabs at the bottom of the holster so I could loosen them up a little. Fits perfect now. You could probably use a regular blow dryer on high heat to achieve the same results.

I had the transform case from when I first got my Z30 last year (as well as a generic clear gel case), but I just got the flip case, which I'm really loving. The transform case doesn't cover the screen, but it is great for protecting the corners and of course you can use it to stand the phone up for movie watching or video calls. The flip case is just really striking. Premium look and feel, professional, and classy. It protects the screen, but of course charging requires it to be open. And maybe it's not so ideal if you make a lot of calls. Both have their pros and cons, so I alternate between the two.

Yes, I have one and have been using it about a month. They are very well made. I have dropped my phone at least 2x since putting it on and never a scratch.

I use the Seidio's S5 Spring-Clip Holster. For my naked Z30.

I had to take a blow dryer to the tabs on the bottom of the holster to make room for the slight thicker Z30.

The Dilex won't. It's made for a thicker case on the phone.

I just got the Amzer border case today but I noticed that it covers the 2 pin holes below the volume rockers, will this affect My calls?

It will affect the call quality under some circumstances. Skype was almost unusable before I modified the case. On mine, I marked the hole locations, used needle-nosed pliers with a pin heated by a lighter to 'drill' pilot holes, and finished with a twist-drill (1/16" I think). Call quality was significantly improved.

I got the minimalist case with a slot for a CC on the back. Great quality and workmanship and protects the phone very well. All plugs are accessible and it is easy to get the phone into the case.

Using azmer shellster case now. Had the transform case, which was useless against drops. The first time a I dropped it, the screen was gone and I shelled out 200+ bucks for repairs. My friend has got the trident case, but it adds bulk

I received my Hand and Hide case on Friday. I ordered the minimalist version. It is extremely high quality. The fit on the phone is great and it looks awesome on the Z30. Everything is accessible, and my Qi charger still worked through it. It feels really good in the hand.

Two minor things - The top button is a little difficult to press through the case. I usually have to use my other hand to press it. I didn't like the case sticking out on either side of the phone so I trimmed the leather back so that it is in line with the phone. Now the feel in my hand is perfect (it felt a little wide initially)! I'm sending it back to Jeff to clean up my trim. I'll post pictures now and when I get it back.

I have both of our Z30s in a GMYLE case. I thought it was gonna be bulky. It isn't. I thought the flap would get in the way. It doesn't. The magnetic clasp also holds the flap against the back when open. I also have the OE flip shell. Caused me all kinds of grief. My phone would reset whenever I just touched the power button. Turned out to be the case. The little foam gasket around the power button would interfere, unbeknownst to me. A wonderful CB user enlightened me. Tore the foam out and filed the opening bigger. No more resets!!

Just wanted to thank you for this post. I just got mine, and did the simple modification. (I used a propane torch and just grazed the bottom tabs..) Works perfectly.

I also used a blow dryer to heat the felt, and peel it back so that I could insert one of those dime sized neodymium magnets. It fit perfectly in the divot created by the swivel mechanism.

Dead center of the Z30 will work. In the Seidio case there is a perfect spot for it. I used one of these:
