    Whilst Snooping on my device folder on file manager on my BlackBerry Z30, I came accross a bg.amr file turns out it randomly records random audio. This has got me worried cos God knows what I have managed to record without knowing. (working on a contract job where any form of recording images/video/audio is a big no no). I decided to listen to find out and it has 2hrs and 25mins of random audio. It seems that the device will record anything so long as it is loud enough for the device to pick it up.
    [False Alarm] I was Snooping on my BlackBerry Z30 and found a bg.amr file-img_00000486.png

    I do not have this file. Before everyone starts making foil helmets, consider that it is most likely related to a specific app. Where is the file located?

    On second thoughts the recordings tie up exactly with the issue with sound I was having with SayIt (Phew)http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...ms-z30-892422/

    listened to the recordings. First one was me showing my sister my music app not playing music (because of sayit)
    another one was me shouting Dont start this F****ng S**T (becaus of SayIt muted my phone) so no the device isn't recording random audio it was say it doing stupid crap Phew

    The "misc" folder is where android information is stored. It is most likely related to a sideloaded/ported android app.

    Eeekk... I have this on my Z10. the audio length is 12:20:26. Yes, that's 12 HOURS of recording. Anyone know where this file originates?

    * EDIT *
    Okay, so it is SayIt. But I can't understand why the file creation time is 4:13A.M. I'm asleep at that time. Hhmmm...

    if it's Sayit, then it's most likely that super sensitive play button on the side of the phone

    *can confirm Sayit creates the file*

    Misc folder is used by third party apps to save app/game progress or store temporary data.

    I found the same file on my Z10 and I have Sayit installed too.

    My 11 hour recording sounds like it was triggered at the time I was connected via blue tooth to my car's GPS/Hands-free unit.
