Has anyone bought a refurbished Z30 recently? Was it in like new condition and have you had any issues with it? Been offered one for $199 (CAD), looks like new and is coming from a legitimate source with a full 12 month warranty. I'm looking for a new back up device to my PP and am thinking this would be a much better route to go than buying a new over priced Leap.

price seems a bit high for refurbished to be honest. I bought my Z30 from shop Blackberry a couple of years ago for 250 (CAD). Refurbished and discontinued I would think it should be cheaper. Z30 is a great phone, but different sim size than PP, yes you can use an adapter, I went that route and the adapter damaged my sim reader in my phone, and I am very careful with my devices.

I recently saw a place in Texas that still had some new BlackBerry Z30 for the same price. I don't recall who was selling them.

Thanks for the advice, guys but the $199 is in Canadian $s, using today's wholesale rate it translates into $150 USD. Compared to the Leap which they're selling for $279 here this looks like a bargain to me, I'm just trying to establish if these refurbished units are reliable or not.

TBH, there are far cheaper devices out there but I love BB's VKB and BBM and I don't want to be spending DTEK money for a second device.

As to the SIM, what ever it is I end up buying will be used for international travel and so SIM size is not an issue for me.

Going to go for it. Always liked the Z30, to me it's a good price with some assurance of quality, let's just hope it's reliable!

Approx $75 USD or less and $8 for the mid frame.

I've a Verizon Z30 that I will be selling in the near future. $70'ish dollars including a new mid frame. I even have a box (pre-production device/ non original box) for it.

Honestly if*they are providing 1 year of warranty on a device of that age, I wouldn't*worry about it. Seems like a decent price.

Is it from Staples? I have bought from them before, refurbished was basically new. Very happy with it. If I didn't already have a Z30, I would buy it for that price from them
