    Default E-mails erased

    I have added 5 e-mail accounts to my relatively new Z30. This morning the device went into a strange mode. The 4G LTE message was replaced by 3G and I couldn't delete any e-mails. I turned it off and 30 minutes later rebooted it. E-mail for the past month had been deleted off all accounts on the device and from 4 of 5 servers on my laptop.

    Help?

    You are not the first to encounter this. Several people have reported that their emails somehow have been erased from the phone and the server with no explanation. Were they imap, pop activesync accounts?

    Unfortunately I'm one of the unfortunate ones that lost all emails from both the Z10 and servers from 3 different accounts for exactly The past 30 days. I also lost all sms msgs. Bbm and oddly whatsapp msgs were left alone.

    Absolutely no idea what happened. Tweeted BlackBerry help and never heard back.

    I thought it might be a Verizon malfunction but I lost e-mail from Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft Exchange accounts. Only one that remained intact was Outlook account which is POP3.

    Sorry for you. This has also happened to me on my Z10, not yet on my 30. Everything but Bbm gone. No explanation.

    Is BBRY aware of this? I know it doesn't happen to everyone but it should happen to know one. They need to figure this out yesterday as one person losing all email from everywhere is one too many.

    Belfast had it happen to him as well. Many people are "dismissive" of the problem but I have seen it in enough threads that it does seem to be a glitch happening to some people

    It was definitely a glitch when it happened to me. I was opening a text msg. It lagged, I swiped out to the hub then active frames page. Waited 20-30 seconds, and went back I to my hub. Boom.. all of it gone.

    Woke up this morning, Z30 HUB empty. One Gmail, 2 Yahoo, Texts, BBM, Facebook, etc...all gone. Called BlackBerry support at (877) 552-5532. They said I could do a backup and then restore the OS, I said but wouldn't the backup capture the issue and just reapply it when reloaded? She then wanted to connect me to my carrier. Apparently BlackBerry Support is as useless as Verizon support.

    Yes and I think he said he would never trust BB10 again. Except now that a belt will be coming back I guess he can forgive the issue when it looks like BBRY isn't publicly acknowledging it and obviously whatever is doing it hasn't been fixed yet.

    This is a pretty serious issue if a person has more than personal emails. Even then it would totally suck. Is the CB team even asking them about it?

    Agreed! Unfortunately some of those emails that I lost were work emails involving patient information.

    As for CB/Kevin, I mentioned this lost email problem and asked Kevin in the "1 year later, review the Z10" article /thread Kevin started. He never replied. Lol

    Anyone want to start a thread That would get a reply from Kevin or the CB team on this subject?

    Agreed. I have changed my settings to erase on handheld only just in case this happens to me.
