Havent got my phone yet, but does the Z30 become awrm when using it with 3G?
My old phone became quite warm when using that.

Slightly warm on extensive use. Half of that from your hand. I don't find it ever uncomfortably warm like the Z10 sometimes felt.

Do any of you have a cover with the phone?

I'd like to clarify also, it doesn't feel as hot as the z10 but it runs -at times- as hot as the z10 according to various battery monitors I've got on the phone. So while the temperature may at times get to 42 degrees Celsius it can't be felt like if the z10 was running at 42.

Which is worrying for battery longevity.

But from what I've read it may purely be a 'defect' for my z30 along with not as stellar battery life mentioned by other z30 owners.

On set up it will get very warm as it updates all your accounts. Thereafter not.

Lol.... there are countries out there that haven't graduated to 4G yet... I purchased a Z10 STL100-1 here in Bermuda because we don't have true 4G... just 3G+ that the carriers have labeled 4G

Im running my Z30 on 4G all the time, no heating at all

the battery life was terrible _ 8-10 hrs per charge

I had the same issue with my first Z30, it heats upto 40C and even on standby the device is at 35-38C and does not come down at all...also the battery lasted less than 5hrs i had to then send the device back and they replaced it with a brand new one and now all issues gone
