The reverse is somewhat true for me. I have gestures on my primary device, and an always using them in non-Android devices.

I swipe up on my nexus 6 sometimes. It then opens google now which is annoying. I think the gestures on BB10 are pretty great.

Whenever I switch from a BB10 device to another one (Windows Phone or Android or iOS, doesn't matter), I find myself trying to swipe up to get to the launcher. I also had this problem when I owned a Palm Pre (RIP), and switched to whatever spare device du jour I happened to have.

Swipe up doesn't work on my nexus tablet to wake it up either. Strange.

My better half just switched to Xperia ZL from Z10, I catch her doing the swipe all the time to try and wake it up, she has to hit the side power button. I guess I'll have to get this thing Rooted before she goes nuts. LMAO!!

Every time, I switch between my old Symbian Phone and completely forget it only had two swipe gestures, close App is the main culprit

First thing I usually do is look up the tips and tricks of any phone. I've had both a Z10 and Z30 so it's just second nature. Here's a link to a couple tips for you.
Thanks much! I sometimes do, but most times I fly by the seat of my pants.

Like with my LG G3. I looked up the 50+ tips on YouTube and realized I had already discovered them all!
I should be researching BB10 more though, as it's a very unfamiliar beast to me.

There is a non-BB10 gesture I often use when I have to troubleshoot iPhones and iPads at work...

When I switch to iPhone, there are quite a few gestures I forget cannot be performed. The most common one is perhaps deleting words.
To wit: --Oh, I have to keep tapping on the delete key? How quaint~!

    It's only you; ha!

What gets me every time now is when I go to a laptop I swipe the screen - touch or not. (This is W8-related, not phone.)
I guess I won't be owning a Mac in the near future!

I am guilty of this too. Any phone or tablet I put my hands on I would swipe to wake or swipe to move apps. Makes me wonder how others even make it without gestures lol

Frustratingly always swipe from the bottom on my android tablet. Always pulls up Google Now. Pain.

One of the most frustrating was actually using my PlayBook. Because the swipe from the bottom gesture isn't one-to-one like bb10, it just feels disjointed and weird.

i try to use BB10 swipe up to unlock on many other phones/Tablets, i am so used to Z10-Z30 and playbook it's automatic, even on my Nokia N9 and Jolla which are double tap to unlock.

Happens on my wife's Android, even on my cheapo Android tablet which I got as a gift a few weeks ago. Tried using it like a PlayBook, no joy...

You're right, it feels so natural. Swipe to wake.

(Just the way I do on my wife's cheek to wake her up from sleep mode... ;-) )
