    After lots of online searching for an otterbox case for my new used z30 I bought one. Fnally bought 1 out of the 2 on the whole Internet! EBay had 2. Amazon discontinued. Otterbox website discontinued. I understand it's a few years old and it's a blackberry but it was one of the top rated smartphones of that year and so I would assume they would still sell them. Anyone know why there is such a shortage?.

    Z30 was the best smartphone nobody ever really heard off. If you weren't really into BlackBerry you wouldn't have heard anything about this great phone. There was no marketing for it, so I guess all these manufacturers of cases did just make enough to sell them to those that needed them. After 2.5 years years now the phone has been released, I don't think there's much left of any accessories and cases to the Z30 . Just my theory

    Can't remember if it was the Z10 or Z30 Otterbox, but some said that the swipe up gesture could be difficult with the case on. That and the extremely low relative number of units sold likely doomed the case.

    I just reordered my new otterbox and received last week. The seller even re listed the item with more available. EBay has them. Not sure why the shortage, but when I see them I grab it. Good luck.

    I just got my black Otterbox Commuter series case just now. I like it I do.. it sucks because I feel like it's hard to drag the screen over and I paid $38 which it feels cheap like it should only be worth $10-20 but maybe not. Just doesn't feel like my note 3 otterbox felt. That felt genuine and made strong out of good materials. I'm overall satisfied though.

    The only thing I don't like about my commuter case is the buttons are hard to press. And I wish it was a little more "grippy".

    Other than that it feels solid and fits well.
