I travel to Asian countries and need a device that I can switch sim cards in. Will the Z30 allow this or does it have a dual card function?

No BBs are dual SIM (I think that's what you meant?) And China Mobile uses different technology for UMTS (3G) and LTE (4G,) for which no Z30 has the bands.

If you have a Z30 STA100-2, -3 or -6,you should have somewhat better luck with China Unicom, where you should get 3G and perhaps LTE as well.
