Both the Z10 and the Z30 take micro-sims. You should be fine just swapping them. New sim cards at Verizon will cost you $10. Make sure they give you an NFC-enabled sim.

They're designed to do that to force you to upgrade lol. All my cars have developed faults a few days after the warranty runs out.

I'm on Verizon and switched from a Z10 to a Z30. Took the sim out of my Z10 and placed it directly into my Z30. No problems. I also went to Verizon to get a new sim card for another phone of mine and it was free. Not sure why they would charge $10... unless that's a new policy within the last month. Not sure.

OK I'm not totally familiar with Verizon but it sounds like there are similar experiences/confusion reported as here in Canada with Rogers. If I was to go to the "real" Rogers stores I can get sim cards for free all the time but if I was to walk in to one of their dealers I would be charged $10 for a sim. It took me a while to figure this out and you guys should check to see if it's same deal with Verizon.

NFC-enabled is irrelevant down here. Unless it starts with "i" or "Apple," don't count on mobile payment options for any BlackBerry devices on Verizon's (or the other major carriers') network anytime soon...

You are correct. Same thing with Verizon. I went to a Verizon dealer and they wanted $10 for a sim but they informed me that I could go to a "corporate " Verizon store and get one for free. So that's why I got it free. Didn't remember that until you brought it up.

I purchased my Z30 privately but met the seller at a Verizon corporate store to assure it was clean. The rep merely removed the card from my Z10 and moved it to the Z30. That was that.
